Follow your instincts...enbrance your own style.. I did and this is my Study

When we first moved into our rambling 1960's home with 5 bedrooms. I couldn't decide what to do with the fifth bedroom and tiny study area.  We eventually knocked down 3 walls, installed glass balustrade, installed plush charcoal carpets and was ready to style the study.

The Chesterfield Settee in Peacock Green is a stunning find from Ebay for only $285.  I've since had 2 offers to buy it, but its simply not for sale as I'm in love with the style and colour of this piece.

I've developed my style palette since studying Design and really challenged myself to not paint the wall white and resisted temptation to have everything aligned in pairs.

Instead I followed my inner style guide and built an inspiration wall, full of personality, presence and enough quirkiness to settle my inner style god.

Here's the results.  I was inspired by the gorgeous Caithlin Wilson Cushion (http://www.caitlinwilsontextiles.com/) from local Australia supplier, Adorne Homewares.

Here's the colour palette... Corel and Aqua.

The prints are by Melbourne Based Artist (Linogirl)  http://www.linogirl.com.au/

And here's that quirkiness I mentioned...
